As for progression; you best be willing to put decades of your life into the job for below average salary and to be overworked if you want to progress, as well as spend you entire life shmoozing management. Progression is based on popularity, not actual work ethic. If you’re good at your job they’ll keep you there to avoid re training new starters. Google “Asda chant” on YouTube. When I started back in 2015 I loved it, left 3 months ago and didn’t realise until I left how small minded everyone there is- they hire specific types of people, people who will be loyal to the company without asking questions on what the actual benefits are to them (there are none). board full of men with small-man syndrome if you wanna work there best of luck
