Minpunten
It used to be a great job working as a cleaner at Abri. unfortunatly things have changed due to the management style of Head of Grounds and Estates. The Bracknell area used to belong to another housing association which was engulfed by Abri and to be honest things have been on a slippery slope since they took over. The hours have been changed to worser hours, offering too many hours for a cleaning job. Should not force workers to do 40 hour contracts and should be 37 hours really that is enough for a cleaning job. We used to have great hours we could start at 7am and finish earlier. It worked well and there was never any problems starting at this time. The Head of department has always had a problem with us starting at 7am for no good reason and finally has stopped us doing it. It was great starting earlier as it meant when we finished work we had more time in the day to enjoy being at home. Now with the new strict hours we can't start till 8am and finish at half 4 which is really poor when the 40 hour contracts you could start at 7am and leave at 3.30pm. This manager has no clue what he is doing and does not care who gets upset by their decision making. I also forgot to mention that our times are scrutinised what times we turn up exactly to the minute and same for when we leave. they are desperate to eek every minute out of us and have gotten worse apparently due to people leaving before they are meant to finish. I don't recommend this job if you need any flexibility because it is not flexible and they expect too many hours for a cleaning job. Also now only 2 people are allowed holiday at any one time, it used to be more people allowed so now they have made it nearly impossible to get a break from the place. Utter joke
