Most of the people here are great characters. They are very pleasant to speak with and even when things get difficult, for the most part they are understanding and reasonable as long as you can speak up about it. The organization itself continues to expand and the quick growth can definitely be seen as a welcome statement, especially as their client base continues to increase and that has a positive upwards trajectory. As with any startup culture, anyone is expected to wear many hats and a diligent person will gain an in-depth understanding of how everything works very quickly, which also means plenty of room to grow skills within the first several months of joining. Also, this company is fit for anyone who wants to work from home as many employees are located out-of-state and there are plans to build a hybrid model for locals, assuming they do want to keep some form of commute or in-person interaction.

There is an organizational structure and hierarchy in place, but for the most part many people forget that it's there. Anyone can get pulled aside to work on something even after instructions specific to that person’s native department have been put in place and yet the order will come down the line to prioritize their work over what’s currently given, and that's after it’s established meeting that deadline will not happen. That’s really based on who requests what and the circumstances behind the request, but the issue is some teams will push their tasks with seeming authority over another group. Most often, the reason there is no flexibility in those requests is a team has a client agreement that needs to be fulfilled and the expected deadline is way shorter than the time needed to complete the task, on top of all others. This often translates to spending many nights working overtime just to stay up-to-date. As understanding as people can be, there doesn't seem to be an understanding that this structure is in place to streamline tasks into things that play into their roles specifically. As a result, it gives way to issues like an overwhelming workload, scope creep, ultra-aggressive deadlines, and oftentimes it can feel like progress becomes counterproductive because tasks have a tendency to backtrack over things that should’ve already been finished. The company is also very client-forward, so there’s an unwritten rule that whatever the client needs to make things work for them, we are expected to fulfill the request regardless of the rules they have put in place, and so there are several nuances on a per-client basis to keep in mind. It’s very easy to lose track of what belongs to who and why, so it’s important to be EXTREMELY on top of it.
