Minpunten
The mix of reviews on Glassdoor is always entertaining. Clearly the employees that benefit from company moves are rate it high, while those that don't, are unhappy. I'll try to be as honest as possible for potential job seekers. First, there's no growth. The growth some have talked about on here comes from purchasing other companies purely to milk their clientele. The company revenues have been flat for 5+ years straight with the existing revenue streams from large companies that are slowly switching to other products. New product sales are not good as the company fails to get any market penetration. There is also a focus on 'sexy' projects that have no hope of ever earning a return or real benefit to the company. Second, there is zero - and I mean zero - marketing and sales alignment. The sales team is still making cold calls as if this were the 80's. Marketing generates leads that are never followed up with. The CRM the company uses is straight out of the 90's VB6 era. A technology company that's using ancient business technology. Third, the culture has become toxic. It wasn't always this way, there was a time when it was a fun environment where innovation was the goal. Unfortunately, good leaders and engineers got burnt out and left and the replacements have been less than stellar. One sales manager is known for saying "Accusoft, a solid C average from everyone." He's right - people do enough to get by, but the passion is non-existent. Fourth, there is no leadership. It's a completely rudderless ship. Yes, the Owner makes himself available, but God help yourself if you disagree with him. Senior and middle management is a joke, as it's mostly comprised of "yes men." Fifth, and probably one of the largest causes of discontent, communication is horrible or non-existent. The responses on glassdoor from HR are cute, but I myself have personally spoken to HR (along with numerous colleagues) many times. Talk is one thing, action is another and there is never any real action. The CEO says his door is always open and he's always honest, but what if you don't know what questions to ask. For example, should I ask are you planning to fire all the scientists and long-term employees that got you to where you are in favor of your new shiny pet projects? I guess I didn't realize that was an option. If you're looking for a place to get some experience, earn a decent salary, and have a mostly flexible schedule, this may work. If you're looking to really make a difference and innovate, I would recommend you look elsewhere.
