Pluspunten
4 day work week and the people at the bottom are fantastic.
Minpunten
Literally everything else. Management is clueless and more so the further up the ladder you go. Company has no direction and wants to keep trying the same things that pulled them out of their slump years ago. Unfortunately technology has moved faster than Acuity and they aren't willing to make a helpful change. There is no career growth here unless you aspire to be a self loathing middle manager for life. Engineering taps out after about 5 to 8 years experience. You are not valued if you are in the engineer track you are seen as disposable every quarter when management continues to make poor decisions. Raised have nothing to do with merit. In addition if you receive an above average raise your coworker received a below average raise to compensate completely separate from merit. There is NO defined path of growth and getting a promotion is a pipe dream there. Salaries are compressed so what you come in as will set the bar for the rest of your time there. Health insurance is terrible and expensive while continuing to become more expensive for less benefits year over year. Extremely high turnover in HR and engineering. ABS requires tons of paperwork that seems to accomplish nothing a significantly streamlined process couldn't. You will spend almost no time doing engineering and all your time wasting away as an undervalued paperpusher. If you want a place to retire in at the end of your career this is not the place. Expensive engineers are fired every year to cut costs and replaced with fresh grads while given zero helpful training. This company is an absolute trainwreck that is only still in business due to name recognition and market share. Stay away if you value your career.
