Pluspunten

1. No dress code, 2. WFH, 3. Good benefits.

Minpunten

1. Favoritism During my tenure of almost 2+ years, I have observed that you have higher chances to succeed in this organization if you are someone's favorite. Merit will take you only up to a certain level, after that it is all being someone's favorite (especially PM or Lead). If you butt heads with the PM or Lead, then you will quickly be shown the exit sign. Or you will get so tired of butting heads that you will want to quit the organization on your own terms or will. There are a handful of people that are tasked with "controlling" their subordinates and these people are good at that task. 2. Incompetency There are multiple people in this organization that are incompetent in their own different ways. So for an example - PMs act like Gods when in fact they simply coordinate projects. One will not see the real project management in this organization. But, the PMs will take full credit for any or all successful projects. In reality, they do not deserve any of the credit. PMs will send status emails to the vendors but will include incorrect/wrong vendor name and/or engineer name. They f****** don't have a clue what they are doing. I have even worked with some supposedly (Technical) Leads that have no clue or idea of the project that they are expected to Lead. In such cases, the burden falls on the shoulders of the engineer but yet the Lead will be the first one to take full credit in case the project turns out to be successful. If it fails, then the Lead and/or PM and management puts the blame on the engineer. There are some incompetent engineers as well. 3. Spineless It is always presumed that the lower-level people (i.e., engineers) are at fault. In reality, they are the ones that bring revenue to the company and not the PMs or other types of Managers. If a Lead or PM screws up then there are no consequences, however, if an engineer screws up then they will initiate performance improvement plans and so on. This organization doesn't have the courage to own up to their mistakes. What do bad leaders do? They shift their mistakes/stupidity on their subordinates and call it day. This organization is heavily filled with such stupid, arrogant, and coward people. 4. No respect The harder you work the harder your life will become at this organization. I learned this lesson the hard way- no pun intended! When I was young, my schoolteachers and my parents taught me the value of hard work. But when I grew up and joined this organization, I realized that my teachers and parents were wrong! This organization will NEVER EVER respect you, your hard work, passion, commitment, or anything for that matter. They will TAKE YOU FOR GRANTED and make you do more work for less pay. But you stand a chance to win the 25$ gift card and I think they want you to purchase a brand-new Mixer every time you win a 25$ gift card. 5. Actions speak louder than words This organization is heavy on using all sorts of fancy words, corporate jargons. In simpler terms, they are willing to hear you and your issues, but they have no intention to address those issues. Like I said, they are spineless in their everyday life at this organization. 6. Stressful life to you and your family One engineer is assigned to at least 4 projects. Assigned to a project typically means that you will end up doing the following: -> Pseudo POC for the vendor, -> Perform all the testing, -> Prepare all evaluation documentation (barring a few couple of documents that will be taken care by someone else in the documentation team) Repeat above steps for all of your projects. As you can imagine, life becomes stressful and horrible pretty quickly in this organization. I have seen people leave this organization within a week or sometimes even quitting on the same day!!! The higher ups/top management are fully aware of all the above issues but turn a blind eye and act as if nothing is wrong. Change the upper management and the problems will likely be solved to some extent. Do yourself a favor by not joining this organization and save yourself and your family from the trauma.

Minpunten

Company is not generating enough revenue and therefore is not profitable. They recently started laying off employees. Leave before the ship sinks.
