A business that was founded by a group of college aged men has *shocker* never progressed past those young adult mentalities. The almost weekly happy hours ran into the late night, you frequently saw alcohol around the office, and the holiday parties always produced incidents that would keep any HR team busy. Upper management had a stale early 2000's slightly chauvinist approach to sales that seemingly was allergic to any modernization. There was a clear refusal to see the market for what it really was and instead blamed the employees for not exacerbating themselves even more to find jobs and decent candidates. The office, while calm, was also far removed from the real hub of the city making client visits a literal trek. Your commission most days were pennies to the dollar and while they like to tote around that it's "uncapped", you'll take a hot minute to get to anything considered a decent payout.
