Not micro managed & generally allowed to work independly with little supervision. Salaries kept low but topped up with 2-3 bonuses per year. Great co-workers. Lots of team building events. Casual atmosphere.

Difficult for women to get promoted- real estate development / construction is very much male oriented and favor men for advancement. Very conservative--not into risk taking so change is slow to happen. They give the 'we're like a family here' vibe but when push comes to shove, the actual family protects their interests and staff are sacrificed; business is business. Small family run company so projects are sometimes few and far between.
A very entrepreneurial and agile company. Great at what they do and a culture of continual learning. Very supportive of employee development and education. Employees are empowered to do the right thing and bring forward new ideas and projects

Much of the knowledge is individual knowledge instead of institutional knowledge so difficult to transfer or delegate tasks.
