Pluspunten

Good bonus structure, individual offices, very professional, annual company trip. The owner, Michael Grossman, is very intelligent and works hard.

Minpunten

Too much cattiness amongst the women, strange employee review process, you only get your bonus after working there for a year and many people are let go before receiving the bonus, when people are let go they are not given any reason at all. Nepotism. You have to constantly watch your back because bonuses are bases largely on your peer reviews.

We really pride ourselves on always keeping our team members in the know about where they are and what they need to improve upon. We certainly strive to evaluate our team members daily so that a termination doesn’t come as a surprise. We apologize if you didn’t feel like you were provided this experience of direct conversational feedback. Another item you mentioned is AdviceOne’s bonus structure, which is purposefully delayed for new hires. It is one thing to impress us in the interview and within your first 90 days, but it’s another to keep impressing us. We reward longevity and growth.

While this feedback can be difficult to receive at times, it is delivered with the genuine intent of helping individuals improve and succeed. Managers actively encourage team members to push beyond their comfort zones and strive toward becoming the best version of themselves. This expectation creates an environment where development is not only supported but expected. The team is composed of driven, high-performing individuals who are committed to their work and to one another. There is a strong sense of collaboration and unity across the organization, with colleagues working together toward shared goals. The pace of work is fast, with frequent changes that require adaptability. Despite this, AdviceOne promotes work-life balance and encourages employees to maintain a healthy balance between their professional and personal lives. Overall, this is an excellent environment for individuals who are motivated, open to feedback, and eager to grow in a high-performance setting.

Minpunten

The direct and candid nature of feedback can be difficult to receive at times. Employees are frequently pushed outside of their comfort zones, which can feel challenging, especially in the early stages. The fast-paced environment and constant change can be demanding and may require a high level of adaptability to manage effectively.

1. Honest Feedback: Conversations and feedback are given in a way that is both caring and direct. Every member of the team and in Leadership cares about you personally AND will challenge you directly to be your best and even better. 2. Partnership Mentality: Leadership is not looking to hire employees to come in and do a job. Rather, they look to hire Business Partners who strive to raise the bar of excellence while reaching for individual and organizational success. The owner dedicates time in knowing every single new hire and is the first person to use a closet as his office to give a better space to his team. 3. Growth Opportunities: The company is consistently looking to keep you one notch out of your comfort zone, which, while this can be challenging, it provides an opportunity for growth for those who are eager for more. 4. Employee focused: There are so many benefits for team members and their families. AdviceOne wants to know you and your family and not only watch you grow but be able to help support it.

Minpunten

1. High expectations. Everyone came from being the best or has proved themselves to grow into the best. This can be a hard adaptation when you are used to being the best and now are being challenged to be even better. 2. Fast paced: Change is consistent here. You need to be willing to adapt to new processes because there is always an eye for improvement. 3. Determining your work-life balance: With everything said, it is harder than it looks to want to be the best professionally and call out when you need a break or time off.
