1) No work culture at all. They believe that all employees are either slaves or robots. 2) Management doesn't know anything about running a bank. 3) Completely dominated by Egyptians. They give a damn to the other nationalities. 4) Unlimited work timmings. They are seriusly understaffed. People work all 7 days without entitiledment of any comp off on account of working over weekends. 5) Meetings never start on time. Bank timmings are till 4 PM but people work till 7-8 even 9 PM. They keep meetings at 5 o colock which never start on time. there is no con call culture and all the meetings happen face to face. Its your resposibility to actually track whether the meeting has started and participate even if it starts at 7 PM. 6) During my very short stay of 3 months i was told 3 times that ' if you don't perform then you would be chucked'. First time this happened on my 3rd day in office. Crazy? huh... 7) I was an SME in my field with 10+ years of fortune 500 experience but all was waste there. I was treated like a collage frasher. 8) Management had no intentions to make Arabs and other GCC nationality employees work. They expected us ( people out of Arab and GCC) to complete their work as well. I was given 3 months to complete a project which was based resolving issues caused by non performance over 7 years. I presented a plan of 15 months which was rejected and i was told that "If this project is not done in the next 3 months then some one would have to loose his job". That was the last hit. I resigned within 3 days. 9) Employees are fired rapidly with no reasons given. I would not recommend this bank to any one who loves his self respect. If you work only for money and ready to face abuse in a foreign country with tax less income then go ahead. Best of luck.
