Promotion is based on how you dress, how nicely you can make powerpoints and who you know. No part of the promotion process is based on true merit. Industry knowledge, accomplishments nor education factor in. This resulted in great executives being forced out, people with Ivy level education, and instead the top 3 in ops and IT have not a single college degree between the 3 of them. They seem mostly concerned with cutting costs and taking care of those they know, not those who have great accomplishments and skill since they can't recognize it.
