Pluspunten
Great people in some of the feature teams. Flexible hours, if you're not being overtasked. Nice kitchen. Good location if you live in SE. They have good bike storage. The company for which they are basically an IT department is doing very well and as a result AltSource is flush with cash. This is also a con as it wasn't based on the organization's own organic growth.
Minpunten
Although I think many developers find it decent, this is not an environment that allows UX or Product to perform their jobs at all. You will be expected to simply produce images and mockups for other, non-ux-designer's ideas. Contributing your own ideas or advising about best practices is frowned upon. Management frequently moves the goal posts or switches focus abruptly. They micromanage random details, leaving you completely without a clear idea of their vision the rest of the time. This organization does not support thoughtful problem-solving and instead encourages the tightest possible turnaround at the expense of the code, the employees and the client. Honesty is discouraged. Staffing is turbulent.
