Altis Recruitment is a company where there is incredible room to grow, expand the nature and scope of your role, and really come to inhabit your position and make it your own. Hard work and effort are recognized and applauded, and there is a culture of acceptance, empathy, and genuine respect across the company. Each individual team has its own unique ‘personality’ and the company itself is one of the most connected and involved that I have ever been a part of. There is effort taken to stay engaged across various departments both professionally and personally, and an atmosphere of camaraderie and support that extends not only between team members and their managers, but across the entire firm.
As a company, Altis Recruitment is run in a human-centred way, where the focus is on making a real difference and creating meaningful change in people’s lives by building upon each other’s successes to create more opportunities for growth, by every metric. Financial success is always a consideration, but the CEO of Altis genuinely is one of the most ‘real’ (for lack of a better term) people I’ve ever met and manages her company exceptionally. Kathryn demonstrates remarkable strength and leadership at every step. She shows up for her employees as a leader and as their champion. No matter how busy she is or how many initiatives she is leading, she makes time to listen and respect the perspective and outlook of every employee, and values them uniquely for the strengths and individual talents that only they bring. Kathryn is a trailblazer in her industry and a genuine force for positive change, both in the business world and outside of it, and deserves the highest level of respect.
In terms of management, I feel this is ultimately a personal experience that comes down to the structure and composition of each team, and the style and personalities of senior managers. I had a fantastic manager, talented and helpful resources in many different departments, and a CEO who was exceptionally empathetic and made time for all employees. While this may not be every employee’s experience, it definitely was the case for me, and I have nothing but positive feedback for the employees of the company. No matter how higher up the hierarchy a person was, there was never the sense that you couldn’t come to them for instruction or to get involved in a unique project. Other team members/roles/managers etc. may have their positive and negative aspects, but in terms of work culture and the people, Altis Recruitment is exceptional.
Minpunten
As other reviews have touched on, the compensation, commission and benefits aspects could be improved and there could be more attention paid to the breakdown of work tasks and how this is reflected in comp. Additionally, due to the company being of smaller size and the high-volume, high-intensity nature of the work environment, there are times when not as much attention is paid to internal team dynamics and there could be more effort taken to address issues before they develop.
