Pluspunten
It's an energetic startup environment. There will be stressful times when a product is launching or a deadline is approaching, but the energy is largely positive and invigorating. You'll feel inspired to challenge yourself because the leadership team strongly encourages employees to try new things. One thing that separates Amazing.com from typical startups — at least as far as I know based on anecdotal evidence from other startups — is that it doesn't feel like OH MY GOD WE HAVE TO WORK 16-HOUR DAYS OR THE COMPANY WILL FAIL. It is a lot of hard work, but you probably won't have to worry that you could be out of the job at any moment. Location, view, office environment, perks, and compensation are all great. Best of all, the company is in a burgeoning industry at the right time, and we really are making a big difference in people's lives. Overall, the future looks very good.
Minpunten
There is a lack of communication. The leadership team sometimes has trouble agreeing on projects, priorities, goals, etc., and of course this filters down to the rest of the organization. Sometimes you'll work hard on your component of a project and find out other teams didn't even know about the project at all. The good thing is everyone knows communication is the company's biggest challenge, so it is being addressed in earnest.
