Pluspunten
- It works as a family, if you're "in" the family - they will take care of you; if you are not, you suffer the risk of being fired for ANYTHING at any point
Minpunten
- Disorganized work environment where no one really knows what to do - Little to no leadership; if there is leadership it's led by two very different opinions - Management really needs to create a company culture and standard operating procedures - Company has been alive for 10 years and it still feels like you're working for a start up - Promised a commission structure with goals, later was changed to making percentage of the profit (average $50-100 per booking) - Bookings for a high-end travel company used to be meaty, now their meaningless and small bookings that take 72 hours to work on - Management will listen to employee suggestions but do nothing about it. The employee will think some action will be taken but do not be fooled, nothing changes - Expect to take your laptop home and work - management will want to approve everything but they do not approve until 6pm which makes you then work late hours to complete an inquiry - When you are trained, everything is in the management's hands and you get thrown to the deep end with no life vest; very autonomous work culture - Employee turnover is usually about 6 months or less; some people are smart and wait for commissions to come in, then leave - Opinions in product (hotels, restaurants, and experiences) are less than appreciated - if you have knowledge of travel/hospitality, don't expect to be heard by the Director of Product
