I joined Anblicks two years ago amidst the COVID-19 pandemic with high hopes and enthusiasm as a Junior Software Engineer. However, my experience with the company turned out to be extremely disappointing. Firstly, there was a glaring lack of training and support provided, especially in the specific technology of Liferay. Despite being hired as a junior engineer, there was no effort from the company to provide adequate training or resources to help me excel in my role. Instead, I was forced to work on Liferay projects without proper guidance or preparation, significantly hindering my professional growth, despite my training in Spring Boot and microservices. Moreover, the company's management of its workforce was deeply concerning. Anblicks hired a large number of freshers in 2023, only to find themselves unable to allocate them to projects after a year. This resulted in mass layoffs in 2024 without any consideration for the careers and well-being of these employees. Such a lack of foresight and disregard for the livelihoods of their workforce is unacceptable. Furthermore, the appraisal process at Anblicks was highly flawed and unfair. Several employees, including myself, were unfairly skipped or received negative appraisals, such as 7 to 8 percent, without justification. This not only demotivated the employees but also highlighted the company's disregard for recognizing and rewarding the hard work and dedication of its staff. Overall, my time at Anblicks was marred by a toxic working culture, lack of support, and unethical practices. I would strongly advise prospective employees to steer clear of this company unless significant changes are made to address these issues.
