As a new university graduate, I have been on many many interviews with recruiting agencies(10+). This is the first interview I have ever walked out of, even before I sat down to talk with anyone. The moment I walked in, the receptionist asked me for my ID, then proceeded to make a copy of my ID without my permission. She handed me a large stack of papers, to fill out. I felt like I was at a doctor's office. Looking through the forms, they asked for my SIN number and my Tax Forms. Again I had JUST walked into the office. This is highly sensitive information and not appropriate information to request. The contract was even more dismal as you could not accept an offer from a client you have been placed with. I have signed with other agencies, and they are happy when temp work results in full-time employment. As well, you are not allowed to leave an assignment. This is very contrary to other agencies, as you can leave an assignment if the role is not right for you. These agencies promote flexible and sell the idea that you are able to find the work you enjoy, and the work you don't. This is a company, that binds workers to their contract. In the end, WALK OUT if any employer asked you for sensitive information without presenting you a job opportunity.

Pluspunten

Enjoyed the diversity of assignments when I first started.

Minpunten

Company was fined for violation of the BC Employment Standards Act due to not following minimum standards of employment. Post-employment also included inappropriate contact. Do not recommend.
