Pluspunten

The technology and the idea of the product is great and if they had visionary people it could have been so exciting. Great people in all departments.

Minpunten

The CEO, executive and the leadership are so out of touch. They do not value the employees AT ALL. They never appreciate the employees who work so hard and long hours and give their blood and sweat to move forward together. If you are not on the good side of the management you are DONE. They only bring in and keep the people who think exactly the same way as they do. Any feedback or different perspective is complete unwelcome by the leadership and management. There is no transparency and no communication in the company. Leadership and managers never support employee to grow and become successful. Leading by fear is so common across the company and is what the leadership is so proud of. What is so sad about AppZen is that many great talented passionate people have left or are leaving the company. The company with over 250 employees do not have HR executive! People team and HR are just there to protect management and do not care about employee at all. Employees feel so demotivated, so discourage and so under appreciated every day in this company. The culture, lack of communication, lack of transparency, lack of respect for professional employees has created a very discouraging work environment. Employees are so unhappy in all departments but they are very afraid to give any feedback. Instead of focusing on building the product, they put so much pressure on the sales reps to sell products that are not built yet.

Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate you are satisfied with our technology and product. One of our ideals that we follow is to be caring and compassionate. With that comes transparency; it is always a goal within executive leadership to filter communication down to teams. We are committed to fostering a comfortable, transparent, and collaborative environment for all our employees. To take initiative, we recently rolled out an employee satisfaction survey to monitor and implement changes. We also encourage employees to ask questions weekly during our company wide all hands meeting. There are many ideas that we have for improving employee engagement and morale which we recently addressed in our Q1 Pulse Survey review. As we grow, we will continue to push forward on these implementations. We are sorry to hear about your feelings regarding sales and HR. If there are specific issues, we would encourage you to reach out to your manger to share more, so we can make any needed improvements.

Pluspunten

Great products and visionary leadership. Always at the leading edge of technology and innovation. The best part is the culture and great people to uphold the values.

Minpunten

Nothing I can think of. The situation is very similar to the other startup where efficiency matters most and high throughput is expected. So everyone is expected to deliver aggressive timelines with the usage of AI tools.

Pluspunten

I’ve been in People Operations here for over four years as an individual contributor, and overall, it’s been a very rewarding experience. The biggest pro is the opportunity for growth. I’ve consistently felt challenged in my role and have been given new projects and opportunities that have pushed me outside my comfort zone in a good way. If you’re someone who wants to learn quickly and take on meaningful work, there’s plenty of room to do that here. I’ve also been able to see the impact of my work pretty immediately, which is incredibly motivating. The people are another major highlight. The team is collaborative, supportive, and always willing to jump in to help. There’s a strong sense of partnership across teams, and that makes even the busiest times manageable.

Minpunten

It’s definitely a fast-paced environment, and you have to be quick on your feet. Priorities can shift, and you need to be comfortable operating with some ambiguity. That won’t be for everyone. But if you thrive in an agile, high-energy environment and enjoy being challenged, this is a great place to grow and build your career.
