After finally finding the strength to leave this place I can only urge the current employees to follow. The time I spent working here I felt a constant knot in my stomach of frustration and desperation and I am ashamed to admit I stayed here for the length of time I did. I am ashamed I allowed the management at this company treat me with such disdain and force me to believe I was worthless. As I write this review I feel the same anger I felt whilst working there. This is an unusual place to work, from the outside it seems lovely and modern and fully functioning as a workplace, but this is just the masquerade to hide the rot. The issues stem from management and the daily emotional and mental abuse the employees suffer from it. There is no HR department here to report any concerns to. The HR email provided goes directly to the MD, and if the issue is relating to the MD then of course this is not an option. It’s difficult to follow rules and regulations as they are changed unofficially and regularly dependant on the mood of the MD. If you need a medical appointment, be it general or serious, you will either be told you can not go or be made to suffer the consequences of deciding to prioritise your health. Either way you are the guilty party. During my time working here I have observed incidents such as people not able to attend a medical appointment with 7 weeks notice given as it just wasn’t a good time for the business. Unprofessional warnings given over issues untrue and staff not been given any opportunity to offer their defence. I have seen a female staff member scolded in front of an office of people and humiliated for keeping sanitary products in a private desk drawer, being told this is not allowed (by the MD - a male of course). I have witnessed staff being shouted at for basic rights such as making a coffee during the day. Working here will wear you down until you start to believe the treatment you receive is normal. Any positive reviews on here are written by staff members related to or otherwise involved with the MD. They are false, at least to the majority of the working staff who have to endure all of the above. I find it disgustingly irresponsible that some staff will write positive reviews here to deny what it’s really like to endure even a day in this office and I feel sorry for them if they think associated security is the best they can get. In light of the above there are some wonderful people who work here, who without them I would not have been able to get through a day there. They have made me laugh on my worst days there and they’ve listened when I’ve needed to vent. They deserve more than this place.
