Founder started Thumbtack, CEO took a company public at a $5B valuation. Both the CEO and Founder are of the highest integrity. - Kind, genuine, and thoughtful people. - The company is very thoughtful about spending (is very fiscally responsible). There company did not have any layoffs in 2021-2022 despite there being a challenging macro environment, and the CEO has said he never wants to have layoffs. - Huge opportunity to effect change. Despite being a very healthy company, Athena is still in its early days. Lots of new offerings & initiatives happening. So many places where the fiercely ambitious can leave a huge mark. - WFH! - CEO is very thoughtful about creating an "async" culture and minimizing time in meetings. Definitely moving in the right direction here.
Minpunten
- Definitely still a start-up! Lots of "building the plane as it flies" which isn't a fit for everyone... but is very exciting for problem-solvers looking for an entrepreneurial environment.
