Pluspunten
Not many. The only exception would be the few remaining employees and they care a lot, but are in a bad situation.
Minpunten
If you are desperate for work and have no other options, still take a second to reconsider this company and this is not a good place to work. Here are some facts. The company is being led by the 3 Stooges, which is the CEO, a CRO and a VP of People. The VP of People is a laughable title, because this person doesn’t represent the people and is there to do the bidding of the CEO. This person is over their head and wouldn’t be able to work at any other company with that title. Next is the CRO who is just as bad of a leader as the CEO and is the definition of a micro-manager as he won’t let anyone on his team take any action without getting his approval first. The CRO has no idea how to run a company, but thinks he is the CEO and wants everyone in the company to follow him. Unfortunately desire alone is not sufficient and to lead a company requires intelligence and he doesn’t have much of that. Just a huge ego and a desire to dismiss anyone on his team who has a different view than he does. Then there is the CEO who was a building contractor who took over the company started by his father. He has no idea how to run a software company or any interest in the automotive market, but he likes the paychecks that daddy’s company has been providing him with. Since he was never formally trained on how to lead people, he is unsure on how to drive his team. Example of this is that he utilizes tracking software to spy on people and see what they are doing every day. So if you you are not continuously typing on your keyboard or clicking your mouse, expect to get a call from your manager asking about your lack of Productivity. He also does not know how to recognize talent, especially in the leadership ranks. There have been a staggering number of leaders that have come and gone in the past few years (something like 25+). This calendar year alone I have observed the company lose 3 VP's and 3 Directors. These were all good people who couldn’t work with the 3 stooges and the company is worse off without them. That is a ridiculous number of leaders to turn over in one year and causes extreme confusion and concerns within the employees. In addition, every August/September time frame the CEO has a large layoff because he wants to finish the year with extra money. One just occurred in August of this year, which also happened the same time last year. Then he starts hiring again at the end of the year when he realizes he needs more people. However, the CEO has no care or concerns because in construction, workers are easily replaced, but in software, that is not the case. It takes a long time for people to learn the products to understand how to sell them and build them. This is why it has taken so long to create new solutions for the company to sell because there is a restart every year. For those considering working here, I would recommend you keep looking for your own happiness and sanity.
