Experienced team with deep knowledge of the hospitality industry. Health insurance is above average and retirement match program is the same most companies will offer.
Minpunten
Micromanagement. Silo work culture. No real growth opportunities, luck of empowerment. Zero tolerance to different ideas, work approach, etc.
Salaries are below market.
There is not diversity in upper management

I was happy to see that you enjoyed your teammates and thought our benefits were good. Obviously, I am concerned that you thought that the company was too siloed and process oriented. As to growth opportunities, with the recent acquisition by Aramark, we are hoping to provide more career opportunities to our associates now that we are associated with a Fortune 500 company. In terms of compensation, we pay competitively for each position based upon the market in that particular metropolitan area as well as being transparent as to where an associate falls in his/her salary range. We have had many training opportunities for managers as well as non-managers to learn about our compensation philosophy and ask questions. I am sorry that you did not feel our salaries were competitive. I do appreciate your feedback, though.

Pluspunten
- Coworkers are pretty friendly and try to support each other despite the environment
- Some departments/managers are more flexible than others, allowing for reasonable work-life balance — though this is not consistent company-wide
Minpunten
Like many of the recent reviews, I share the sentiment that Aramark’s acquisition and influence over Avendra have significantly eroded what was once a strong and respectable company. I firmly advise against working for an organization plagued by toxic management who lack morality and transparency, Merit increases are negligible, with a standard 2% raise that fails to keep pace with inflation, let alone the rising cost of living. Advancement and recognition are often based on favoritism and internal politics rather than performance, creating a disheartening and inequitable work environment.
