Pluspunten
There are some great individual contributors of the team who genuinely care about the company despite the utter lack of management and toxicity of the leadership at this organization.
Minpunten
My experience with Aventis Systems was marked by several challenges that I believe are important to share. It's worth noting that my observations are in line with concerns raised by other employees and customers across various platforms, including Google, Trustpilot, Yelp, and BBB. Including them removing my honest feedback, multiple times. This company doesn't want to hear feedback and manipulates everything they do to be in the favor of leadership, not the company. This page has more positive reviews here than employees. #1) Punctuality of Pay: On several occasions, I encountered issues with receiving my salary on time before the company's bankruptcy filing. | #2) Business Priorities: The company's focus was ego-driven spending by leadership rather than addressing the root causes of financial challenges. This company lacks financial management and is run by a CEO and President who are lifelong friends. All efforts appeared to emphasize appearances including flashy cars rather than sustainable revenue growth. The CEO often insulted employees for where they shopped or the cars they drove while paying below market salaries. | #3) Overwork and Understaffing: The company's severe understaffing and operational issues often resulted in employees taking on multiple roles, this went on for years and is still true considering 30% of workforce was laid off during the bankruptcy. | #4) Negative Reviews Handling: I experienced pressure to counter negative reviews when they appeared online, even if the customer was right. Only the CEO had the power to address customer issues despite employing people to do so and would often delay resolution to customers. This company has processes for substituting products due to no inventory systems, so customers don't get what they purchase frequently, look at customer reviews. | #5) Nepotism: This company is ripe with nepotism with a good number of staff being directly related to the CEO. No family was impacted by lay offs due to the bankruptcy. | #6) Work Flexibility: While unlimited PTO and remote work options were offered, I observed instances where these benefits were used against employees. I consistently had to work more than 40 hours a week including weekend to meet leaderships unrealistic expectations which took a major toll on my mental health. | #7) Ethical Concerns: I was uncomfortable with being asked to deceive customers intentionally and mishandle vendor payments that were consistently declined. | #8) Career Growth: My career advancement and compensation were seemingly influenced by factors beyond performance, which was disheartening. | #9) Value and Respect: At Aventis Systems, I often felt undervalued both financially and as an individual. Leaving the company led to a significant improvement in how I was treated elsewhere and learning my true value and worth. | #10) Communication Issues: Leadership sometimes created unnecessary interdepartmental tension, impacting morale and alignment when issues were brought to their attention. | #11) Ethical Misalignment: Attempts to maintain ethical integrity with vendors and OEM partners were met with resistance and, at times, gaslighting. | #12) Office Conditions: The transition from a flashy office to less favorable smaller working conditions in warehouses was noticeable. The warehouse conditions and working environment are not favorable. | #13) Inauthenticity: While colleagues would appear friendly on the surface, there was a notable undercurrent of gossip and backbiting. Often fueled by leadership.
