Pluspunten
Starting pay can be pretty good. Be prepared for it to stay there though. The lower level employees are excellent to work with, although with the turn over rate at this place they will likely all slowly leave.
Minpunten
The management at Avid is generally comprised of arrogant, self-serving blowhards. You are expected to work 12 hour days and essentially be "on-call" 24/7. New ideas are thoughts are generally shot down right away. Your work load will become increasingly unbearable and you will be given duties that are below your skill level and experience. Management and HR are completely out of touch with the responsibilities and work loads of their employees as there is no value placed on the contributions of those that are non-management. Managers only get worse the higher up the "food chain" you go. Essentially, the turn over rate at Avid speaks for itself; which you will become quite aware of should you make the mistake of joining the company.
