I loved my work and coworkers. It was a very collaborative, supportive environment where I felt valued and like a human being.

I was affected by one of the first rounds of Layoffs as they geared up for a private equity sale ...and the process was so impersonal and crushing. I was called into an HR meeting at 11am and basically told that I had until 4pm to get my affairs in order and that was it. It was very clear that the people that made this decision had no real idea of what I did and what my responsibilities were.
