- Technical ability is not highly regarded at review time, despite how crucial it is to Detica's reputation as a difficult problem solver - A lot of waste at the middle management level, lots of review committees and meetings to suck up chargeable hours that contributes very little to delivery - HR and Ops have too much power and waste a lot of time and money - Ops do an appealing job of aligning people with the right projects and balancing that with what people want out of their careers.
