Pluspunten

The benefits are the best thing about this company. Their health insurance is top notch if you have a family and kids. Tuition reimbursement is another great perk. Making a difference in a child's life and knowing you had a hand in helping them succeed in either learning something new in school or help them learn a new life skill.

Minpunten

The pay: for being someone's caretaker and being the backbone for the company the compensation is not close enough to what we deserve (even our School's principal has said it in our meetings). We are paid to change diapers of teenagers, wipe them clean, shower them, shave them, brush their teeth and while your doing that they have behaviors. Now these vary from child to child but I've been punched, slapped, bit, headbutted, spit on, peed on, and defecated on. And that's all for a whopping 9.75/hr. The training: their training techniques have caused more injuries to staff and have seemed to cause more and escalated behaviors in the children and if you don't follow the right techniques you get written up and could be accused of abuse. So it makes you not want to help out in crisis situations. The favoritism: It doesn't matter how well you do your job or how deserving you are, you will be passed up for promotions and higher raises if your not buddy, buddy with the managers. You could do the bare minimal and skate by but kiss the right butts and get promotions, while others bust their butts and pick up the slack for everyone else and get passed up.

I think that the mission for what they do is great. At the time one of the ABA's in the Community and the kids make the mission worth it.

Minpunten

I'm not going to even complain about the pay or the benefits. Honestly just avoid this place like the plague, If you think about working there..just avoid the school at all cost. The residential is better but the pay and hours suck think 12-8 2-9. The point system is barbaric but the main ones are these: Retaliation against employees who report legitimate ethics violations (corrective actions, classroom reassignments following a good-faith report) HR inaction when employees report harassment by colleagues, even when it involves being approached at their home Chronic understaffing leading to genuine safety risks (911 calls with no backup support) Slow, disorganized exit processes — rescheduled exit interviews with no follow-up date given Protecting certain employees from accountability while punishing others for speaking up Poor communication from management during crises (8 hours before being told there was no Greentree support) Culture that discourages employees from reporting concerns, undermining trust
