-Owners do not have any equine husbandry, ranching, or guest ranch experience and are not very willing to learn or adjust their business plans for better animal husbandry. -Often horses would be rationed on hay because the management ran low, leaving older horses or shy horses run off feeders with no pasture to graze on -Minimum horse care standards were often not even met.
