Pluspunten
One Pro would be that there are some genuinely talented employees that are tangled up in this quagmire (and desperately trying to navigate a way out) If you are considering a role at this organisation, RUN!
Minpunten
- Constant change in strategic direction and a disturbing love of shiny new stuff distracts from the core business (where money is actually made) - Atrocious team turnover but seemingly always justified by the leadership team. The same team is constantly dissatisfied with the talent that they have hired. -The Human Resources team, known as People & Culture have a deep mistrust of everyone who walks through the door, their constant intrusion in almost every business function is at best bizarre and at worst deeply stressful for those caught in their web of interference. A reminder that they are here to support specialists and would be better served supporting true people challenges than attempting to (poorly) direct business strategy. - The little recognition which is bestowed and usually occurs at quarterly meetings seems so shallow particularly as this is not mirrored in day-to-day interactions. - The CEO lives and dies by these dreaded daily reports. There is no recognition when there has been a good performance day, but when the numbers are below "target" a time consuming which hunt ensues and leaves everyone stressed, exhausted and absent from their core roles of executing campaigns, meeting customers and building technology. - Bonuses and Incentives are not worth the paper they are written on, they will never come to fruition, The goal posts frequently change. - The CEO cannot be faulted for his passion, but many of the ideas just need to be sense checked before more catastrophic financial and human resourcing decisions are enacted. - The founder weirdly comes in and out of the business and we all have to entertain her suggestions.
