The reviews are based on 1-5 scores and you will always hear "no one is a 5 since there's always room for improvement" making it discouraging to score yourself at that number. If you're taking a pay cut to join the company thinking you'll get back to that pay with hard work you're sadly wrong. If you complain, you'll get targeted and put under a scope so it's best to shut up.
