Pluspunten

Decent compensation, good benefits package; flexible hours and option to work at home if you have to; staff lunch room is well equipped; team-building events (e.g., summer-long barbecue competition, fitness challenge, participation in charity events such as cooking for Ronald McDonald House); nice people (a bit cliquey, though); management is relatively approachable; we get to write part of our own year-end assessment

Minpunten

No opportunity for advancement; no paid lunch break (ironic, considering one of the "healthy work environment" posters in the lunch room recommends taking a lunch break), which leads to a "sweat-shop" mentality; no internal training available (we're an elearning company for Pete's sake) even though everyone knows we need it (that it's not going to make the company money is not a reason to not have it; if the employees know what they're doing and have good support, they'll work more efficiently and that saves money); lack of strategic planning for the nuts-and-bolts of how a contract is going to be executed (e.g., you can't start implementing new approaches when there's only a month left in a multi-year contract); there's rarely any feedback
