Waste of time when applying basically had a rejection in the form of a robot - werkgeversreview Job Seeker - Beware of This Company bij Boots

Applied for the job mentioned above on Indeed back in late December and after completing 3 online tests, waiting almost a month to hear back I had a blunt pathetic email stringed together with a few sentences basically saying that I am "over qualified" for the position it was the usual "Unfortunately" response saying that I was not "well suited" for stacking shelves and serving customers when I was prepared to learn willing if I had just been given a chance or had training! Something companies such as Boots don't want to do today they'd rather hire an under 18 so they don't even pay minimum wage or train a student with a pharmaceutical background on a measly £12.40 an hour to be on the tills and shop floor. I would have happily completed any shift at any time (selected days/times that suited me on the application) but after the way I received that rejection email I don't wish people to be given the same fate I was. Just because I have a degree and left school with lots of qualifications we are seen as "too qualified" I guess to even do retail work these days. As if the job market isn't hard enough already! Shocking pay for such a huge company, with crazy Saturday hours that I would have had to work if I was even given a glimpse of hope for the opportunity but then I could have had only 4 hours of work the next week which isn't worth getting out of bed for! They have round after round of interview stages that isn't worth the hassle or your time I wasted 45 mins of my life completing a robotic type shop floor scenario test and still didn't even get a successful outcome. If you have little to no qualifications GUESS THEY HIRE YOU IN A HEARTBEAT but for the rest of us its constant rejection "Sorry or Unfortunately" and its back to square one. Thanks for getting my hopes up and wasting my time I won't bother applying again if that's the response you think is acceptable to send prospective job seekers. Sorry not sorry that I am over qualified to fill in shelves and do basic till work! Heard many a horror story anyway from reading other reviews online about young girls being sacked for disagreeing with customers who try and swindle refunds after purchases or the repeat customer who picks faults with the product Boots sides with the customer who is in the wrong- but the employee apparently lose their job after defending the company and doing what they are told by management- they get given their P45 on the same day after their shift? Guess I had a lucky escape
