Pluspunten
Writing this review I already know that someone will recognize who I am, which I consider a pro! Although we have 1000s of employees and I work remote, I feel THAT close to my team
In a year when we were down in sales and all feeling the economic woes. Our CEO laid off 0 and still gave all employees a Christmas bonus. Not only that but still gave a profit sharing bonus just a few months later. The humanity in the leadership of this organization is top notch and something that I hope never changes, coming from cold hearted Fortune 500s it was a breath of fresh air. Oh and the turkey check at Thanksgiving is also super classy and thoughtful.
Bossard has all the latest and greatest technologies at their fingertips; once we know how to utilize them properly it will really fuel success
Bossard is a company that recognizes individual contribution, it rewards hard work and provides a ladder to climb.
Bossard empowers its employees to “put the fish on the table” ie talk about the stuff that sucks and address problems head on collaboratively.
Bossard has a great company vision and strategy in place. Personally I am wishing the best for the Global economy and trade markets to fuel the wind in our sales
Minpunten
Bossard needs to work on refining our internal systems, as we are Switzerland based and Bossard North America is a conglomerate of acquisitions, truly merging powers and being able to benefit on the full potential of these mergers is something we need to harness.
Never enough/almost nonexistent top down communication from Bossard NA leadership. While this could be viewed as a pro to some, this area can always use improvement. Consistency in communication from leadership on direction, goals, results, recognition, collaboration, HR updates and challenges helps to fuel individual contributions.
Our benefits suck for remote employees, HR should shop around for a better offering as my out of pocket costs not being in Iowa state are insanely high ($13,500 deductible) we need mental health benefits and more communication also from HR, internal marketing, employee feedback surveys would be helpful.
Commission calculations are non existent. Sales needs more transparency on how payments are calculated and each individual seller should be empowered to accurately track what they’re getting credit for.
Bossard has a great offering and we are the Cadillac of Fastener distributors but we nearly almost always fail at the initial delivery for a new to Bossard customer. A large focus needs to be continued around the customer experience, setting expectations and delivering.
Not enough female leadership in the organization as a whole but to give grace there’s not a ton of women in the fastener industry. It would be nice to see a female sales leader
