Several which largely stem from management and C-suite, and is evidenced by the inability to retain top talent: 1. Management is not transparent about vision or direction of company, leaving associates worried about job security 2. A ridiculous amount of outsourcing even for business-critical roles 3. ZERO opportunity for advancement 4. Empty promises for promotions that never come 5. Self-serving middle-management 6. "Old Boy's Club" culture 7. HR that creates a feeling they cannot be trusted 8. Inconsistent support for professional development 9. Tremendously inadequate accommodation or support of working parents 10. Very vertical organizational structure that makes it difficult to effect any change 11. No consequences, but protection, for abusive leadership 12. Management comprised of "lifers" - employees who were promoted to management simply due to tenure and not leadership abilities 13. Poorly documented policies and procedures 14. Leadership is resistant to knowledge share possibly due to own concerns about job security
