Pluspunten

Regular pay-rises in line with inflation. While these are not guaranteed, they're the main reason people stay.

Minpunten

The focus of Bromcom is primary growth, rather than retention. Keeping customers happy is a totally "nice to have" thing which is repeatedly picked at to feed the forces of growth. Significant time and effort is repeatedly wasted on pet projects that go nowhere. Feedback is pointless. I've witnessed the MD ask directly what we need to do about something, and when the answer wasn't what he wanted to hear literally stood up and walked away, waving his hands. Company benefits are the minimum possible and drastically need investing in. No training offered. Enquiries about benefits, training or anything that would be good for staff (even if it's free to the company) are ignored because they don't understand them.

Pluspunten

I wish I could think of any.

Minpunten

This is the worst company I have ever worked for. I witnessed grown adults crying due to the way they were treated whilst working here. The was a toxic culture verging on bullying. It wasn't a good experience.

Pluspunten

Some good employees who are truly passionate about education, and making a difference in students/school staff lives.

Minpunten

People: Colleagues simply don't show up to meetings and keep their cameras off. I find this quite unique that its part of the culture to not show up, not send any comms about not being able to attend. Culture: Pure toxic: most managers play games to avoid any blame if something goes wrong. When something goes right, everyone wants the credit/makes it their idea. Managers are basically absent for employees, which makes it challenging to know where to focus your attention. To highlight how blame works at Bromcom - I had something stolen from my desk whilst I visited the toilet, the company’s response was that I should have taken my possessions with me (thus, being my fault for not adhering to the company’s guidance). Etiquette: Colleagues simply don't show up to meetings and keep their cameras off (even with customers!) I find it quite unique that its part of the culture to not show up, not send any comms about not being able to attend. The company accepts it and doesn’t seem to care even about the staff's waste of time. Tech: As a company, they cannot build and maintain the basics. The system consistently crashes, and customers always complain - there's no urgency to fix these issues. HR: I wouldn’t bother communicating with them - zero care given.
