Minpunten
Where do I start? This place lies to you and tells you the hours are 7:30pm to 4:00am and that was never the case. I was there every day until 6:00am MINIMUM. You can't go home until all the trucks are loaded up it doesn't matter how long it takes. They expect each person even the brand new workers to pick a MINIMUM of 180 cases of beer PER HOUR. I was at 143 cases an hour my second week there and I was spoken to by the boss and told that I had to get my cases picked amount up to 180 minimum LOL. This place is a go-go-go-go non stop job. You wear a headset that tells you what to pick and where it is located in the warehouse. An average pallet (the smallest order) requires you to pick about 30 cases of beer. Then the second after you shrink wrap that pallet and drop it off at the bay door to be loaded you have to immediately start your next pallet. There will be times where you will have to pick between 60-90 cases of beer for ONE order. I even had 63 cases of corona 24 packs that had to be picked. The funny thing is they already came with 63 per pallet pre-wrapped from the Corona company. This couldn't go on the truck though cause it was on a wooden pallet and had to be on a smaller black plastic pallet that Burke uses. So what am I getting at? I had to manually stack 63 cases of Corona 24 pack boxes on a pallet by hand. It ended up being 8 levels high and was past my head (I'm 5'10) by the way. That right there is how you throw your back out and screw up your body. Another thing that is completely stupid is you can't stack pallets the way you want to. You have to follow these different "blocks" patterns there is an 8 block, 7 block, 10 block and 15 block. You mainly use an 8 block which you stack 3 cases on left side horizontally then 2 cases in the middle vertically and then 3 more cases horizontally on the right side again. The next layer you have to do 4 rows all going vertically of 2 cases each row. You then need to switch back to the first pattern on the next layer and back and forth to build a "block". I don't know why it matters how you stack the pallet as long as you shrink wrap the pallet up tight after. I guess that's just another job requirement at this job. I was only there for 2 weeks before I couldn't take it anymore. The same day I started another new kid also started and guess what? he worked about 3 or 4 days before he left and never showed up again after that lol. Another kid that has been there for 3 months also quit and told me the place sucks. Another kid told me he was quitting after that day was done and he wasn't lying cause the next day I never saw him again lol. Basically for $13.90 starting pay this job really isn't worth it. Even with all the overtime you get which don't matter anyways cause it all goes to taxes so basically you're there like a zombie til 6am-8am each day and it's all for nothing. I had no life. I got home at 6am-8am had enough time to eat something and then had to go right to bed to wake up next day to go back to the joke job. I'm telling you to stay away from this place you will definitely regret it, I know I did.
