Pluspunten

- High salary compared to market averages (but consider the cons below). - The office is well-stocked with snacks, and employees working overtime can order free takeaway daily (with a spending limit) and free rides home.

Minpunten

Overwork Culture: Regularly working until midnight is the norm, with constant standby expectations. Even at 1–2 AM, you’re expected to respond if business calls. Reports for Monday meetings often need to be prepared over the weekend, and last-minute meeting notices mean pulling all-nighters. Despite the extreme hours, overtime pay is almost impossible to claim, even for weekend work. The relentless pressure from management and stakeholders severely impacts both mental and physical health, leaving no room for a personal life. Poor Management Practices: Typical micromanagement, PUA-style behavior, gaslighting, and even verbal abuse are common. Managers demand detailed updates on every minute of your day and claim credit for all work delivered during public performance reviews. Talented employees have no voice and are often threatened with poor performance reviews ("C rating") if they dissent. Promotions are awarded based on favoritism and obedience to superiors, not merit. If you end up with such a manager, the only advice is to leave immediately, as the company does not listen to employee feedback. High Turnover and Job Instability: Don’t be lured by the above-market salary—it’s unlikely you’ll last until the year-end bonus or three-year bonus. Team turnover is so high that entire teams can change within a year, and at least 10% of employees leave (voluntarily or involuntarily) each quarter. Lack of Respect for Employees: Mid-level managers often disrespect their subordinates, issuing unreasonable commands with a poor attitude. Menial tasks are assigned to employees, while managers keep the valuable and high-profile projects for themselves. At the end of the quarter, they question why you haven’t delivered value. Chaotic Management: In my department alone, we went through four different department leaders within a single year, wasting significant time adjusting to new leadership. There are frequent mass layoffs of senior executives, followed by new executives being brought in, only to be fired within a month. Daily personnel changes seem to be based on the management‘s mood rather than any structured plan, making the company feel more like a circus than a professional workplace. Employees often feel like performers, there to entertain the management rather than contribute meaningfully to the organization.

Pluspunten

Fast paced, decent paid and medical insurance coverage, top 3 CEX, short processing time (from interview to offer), pantry snacks, mac laptop

Minpunten

Untrustworthy senior mgmt | Abnormally high turnover | non-compliant CEX 1) While professing care and attentiveness towards employees, the reality falls short. Not conducive for individuals with family responsibilities, especially those with children. 2)Emphasizing a customer-first approach, yet senior management imposes impractical product launch targets that heighten the risk of errors. 3) Assertions of securing licenses for multiple markets contrast starkly with the reality of withdrawn applications without disclosed reasons. Inconsistencies between public statements and all-hands meeting messages are apparent. 4) Unprecedented turnover within the back office, notably the HR department, at Bybit. Personnel turnover occurs frequently within a span of 3-6 months. 5) Permits registration of overseas Chinese nationals without internal staff notification, disregarding potential legal ramifications for employees situated in mainland China. 6) Staff suffered substantial financial losses while holding the exchange's token. During incidents on the exchange platform, senior management utilized their exchange tokens to cover customer compensation and losses. Essentially, for employees vested in these tokens, they bore the consequences.
