Amazing opportunity to learn and build skills and work on many different projects. This is a good thing for students looking to gain a lot of experience. The internship opportunity is good for people that are trying to learn a lot and willing to push themselves to do more and being able to gain new skills along with improving up current skills. Overall this is a really good place, the people here really do help you and push you to keep learning and getting better. ps: If you come in thinking that you are going to do one thing then you are going to be wrong, you will learn many different things and different software and it will a good experience for you to gain more skills and get out of your comfort zone.

At times it can get slow but that is not always the case, seeing there are many different projects to do throughout the time you are there. Interns will make $11 but this is a place not for the money but more for the skills that you can learn and gain.

We pride ourselves in providing an environment for our interns and FTEs to grow and learn. There is never lack of work at the Lab, but we always encourage our employees to explore different options in the Lab since we have many different projects and opportunities for everyone to contribute. We look to be competitive when it comes to internship compensation, but you are right in that we take interns with limited knowledge and experience and provide them with an amazing learning and growth opportunity so that they can continue their career with us or elsewhere and get compensated fairly for the new real-world skills they've obtained at the Lab.

We pride ourselves in building strong collaborative teams where interns are an integral part of the team contributing their expertise while having an opportunity to learn and grow. All our team members are professionals and experts in their respective areas, but also individuals with lives outside of work, and we respect and encourage that delineation between work and life. Thanks for your feedback regarding benefits for interns. This is something we will consider although it may be difficult to address within constraints of a public state university employment structure.
