Pluspunten
There are exemplary locations that model the CAVA mission statement and serve the guests delicious bowls and pitas while treating their staff with dignity and respect.
Minpunten
Pay not at industry standard for any position To much focus on empowerment through creative wording in employee position titles and not enough focus on incentive and training to support the proper use of the chain of command. Majority untrained employees in key positions and a severe lack of diversity leading to many language barrier issues. Not to say not everyone is given a chance but you cant train people properly if the trainer and trainee cannot communicate effectively. Bait and switch tactics used in hiring process, promise what you desire then reveal later you just agreed to some arbitrary ammount of tasks and time till you get what you were promised. Questionable hiring process in which it seems that CAVA desires people that have shaky knowledge about the industry and their actual responsibilities. Their NRO trainers are more or less untrained and untrainable and consistently act with impunity because CAVA allows them to operate as such leading to substantial climate issues on many topics. Overworked Management leading to innefective operational procedures and lack of attention to policy. Managers can barely keep up with their workload without having to always be shifting to address another issue that crops up or extra mandatory task. Total lack of interoffice communications. More blame shifting and lack of accountability drags everyone down and causes chaos and distrust in the ranks. Rampant Food Safety Violations throughout many of the new and old locations in Greater Boston. Uppermanagement is duely informed and does literally nothing with the information despite being offered abundant desire and urgency to correct the issues at no fault of anyone and the focus on simple compliance and effective training. Too focused on making new locations that quality of employees and service suffers at many locations. This is particularly concerning considering the price point of all the products and the fact they cant seem to pay anyone a living wage. Inneffective upper management causing significant voluntary terminations of quality professionals. To many promises and not enough motivation or validity behind them. Lots of untrained people and lack of communication leading to significant HR related issues. Everyone is so overworked and underpaid they get trapped in the job and feel they cant do anything because they need the job they are held down by. Future major corporate monster on the rise putting profits and locations that remain only pretty on their faces instead and riddled with career choking and totally adressable cancer within.
