Before I begin, I implore you to read the negative reviews on this page. And then I assure you - yes they are correct. This store has a problem. And this company as a whole has a problem for failing to put a check on their management in all these years of poor treatment of employees. The employee turnover here can only be compared to a revolving door in a busy hotel. The joining and leaving is frequent enough that it cannot be denied that it might even be a part of the business strategy to leverage new unsuspecting staff for profits before they run out of ammo and then it's time for next one. The work environment is fairly toxic and demoralizing, it starts from upper management and impacts everyone's productivity from top to bottom. If you are starting out your career, you do not want to work for a company like CB2 as it’s only going to reinforce your negative stereotypes about retail industry. The store has a strict customer first policy, by that I mean be prepared to always get thrown under the bus and have your dignity sacrificed to entertain entitled customers who have been time and again assured through actions it is okay to lie and scape goat an associate to take out personal frustration because the Store will blame employee without any proof anyway. In fact, I suspect they rejoice at it and will lap at every chance to humiliate anyone on personal level, offering zero constructive criticism and carrying the conversation in a way that is most damaging to self esteem of young professionals. If the company used some of those employee benefits to cure the sadistic streaks running in the upper management, maybe that would prevent employees from constantly leaving. There is no real career to be made here, the pay is extremely poor compared to market no matter what the position is. There is no personal growth, no proactive supervisory support to develop staff skills and over all no interest by management to retain good talent or any talent for that matter. When the managers themselves think employees are just easily replaceable pieces, you know you have ended up with the worst kind of company. My advice to you is if you are that much in need of money, join a company that just cares about you showing up for hours and does not derive pleasure from harassing you. It’s not worth the money, and it’s definitely not worth sacrificing your personal well being for a company that places zero value on loyalty.
