Steer CLEAR of Denver! - werkgeversreview Operations Manager bij CLEAR

I just want to start with this review is an overview of my experience in DENVER and relates directly to upper management. For some background, I am a now former Operations Manager for CLEAR, and had been with the company for 2.5 years. I started my career with Clear in 2020 in Chicago as an ambassador, and was promoted/relocated 3 times in 2 years. I loved my career at Clear and saw myself being here for a very long time. To make a very long story short, the GM and AGM that are currently there do not care about you unless you are making them money or doing everything they ask you to do. I let this job over the past year destroy my mental health and turn me into someone I did not like. They’ve let their top performers scream at and disrespect managers and do nothing about it. They’ve referred to people of color (African Americans specifically) as “Team Africa” behind closed doors, which they did so comfortably in front of me as the only person of color in management at the time. They give privileges to those not who do their job well and correct, but again will do what they say. Doesn’t matter if they have to lie, cheat, steal, or manipulate to get there. I never felt comfortable sharing my thoughts, never felt comfortable asking for help, and never felt comfortable sharing any concerns that my employees had or asking for guidance because upper management had no problem belittling you for just about anything out of line with what they wanted to hear. There is no real open door policy for anyone. Almost always if you have a conversation with 1, the other is present so they can wait for you to say something they can use against you and bounce off of each other. No use in speaking up on your concerns anyway, it’s just a hassle for them to take care of, or it’s because of their benefit.
