Ok, job while in school, better than fast food. I was able to arrange my work schedule (for the most part) so that I could go to school during the week and work in the store on nights and weekends. Some of the people who have been there a while are pretty nice and knowledgeable. I suppose if you have nothing else going for you, it is easy to move up into management and beyond if you have any sort of intelligence. Compared to the other people in the company, it doesn't take much to be a superstar. Thats it.

Everyone is an idiot. Customers, management, everyone. It is the nature of the business, since you work with lots of angry customers. Many stores are very unorganized with ridiculous rules. Most of the people you work with and depend on call in sick frequently or just stop coming to work with no notice. There is a big shortage of managers, so there are frequent calls on days off to cover shifts that others flake on. There is a big gap in wages, manager will lie to your face if they can get away with it. You will be paid the minimum they think you will accept, even if someone less competent makes more.
