At this point, unfortunately there are none at all that would represent a positive light on being an employee or past employee of CWT.

The comments I share remain my opinion of the organization. CWT Senior Management have and continue to make erratic decisions that are both detrimental to their employees, customers and the overall direction of the company. While it is clear that the travel industry has been significantly impacted by the Pandemic, CWT has lost sight that their best asset was an experienced staff. By reducing and terminating so many strong and key individuals that have brought the success, unprecedented experience and talent to this company, CWT will (in my opinion) ultimately be impacted significantly. The enormous favoritism at CWT is like a cancer within this company (ignored by Senior Management and Executives alike) and it remains who you know and who you are friends with that determine your future or continued employment. Over the years this direction has become increasingly more obvious and blatant. It seems that most of CWT's decisions revolve heavily around that factor. Those that have remained are now working like "slaves" to try to pick up the disaster that upper management has created for us. We continue to try to service the ridiculous number of additional clients that CWT has now consolidated into the portfolios of those of us who remain even without any knowledge or training on these new clients. Again, it demonstrates a lack of a logical business plan and preparation for the future as CWT continues to implement knee jerk terminations vs. a solid and structured go forward plan for our clients, employees and company while trying to understand what the future of Corporate Travel will be. It has been observed that decisions are being made solely for the mighty dollar benefiting CWT without any consideration or regard for employees or clients resulting in incredibly low morale and a lack of care and dedication by the remaining employees. In my opinion, CWT has treated their employees and clients horribly and for that reason, this organization should be ashamed. I have never experienced such a lack of care, understanding and compassion during already such trying times by CWT. As mentioned, if you are not in the "click" at CWT, you absolutely feel that your days are numbered despite all of the hard work that you have done for this company.

Minpunten

Senior leadership over the last 10 years has eroded the culture and viability. Current mid-management leaders are relatively new to roles and lack mentoring, training or clarity of direction.

Navigating two separate layoffs both before and after an acquisition is challenging for anyone, especially when your future is unclear. Being laid off in 2024 rehired in 2025 and then released again after being assured my role was secure only added to that uncertainty. I fully understood the risks of returning to CWT during such a transitional period, but the experience highlighted how crucial clear communication and consistent leadership are during an acquisition. This was not about the work or the people both of which were positive but rather about how the transition from CWT to Amex GBT was managed. My hope is that sharing this helps future employees understand the environment and encourages stronger communication during periods of change.
