Pluspunten
Co-workers and supervisors are mostly great. Some perks.
Minpunten
It's no wonder that Canada Post is at the bottom of the delivery food chain. Yearly they hire casual staff with almost no hope of getting fulltime to deliver holiday packages. For two months they throw you to the wolves and then they ghost you for 10 months. Turn over is so bad that each year they have a massive hiring drive for casual workers who never stay due to lack of work. Then they wonder why in times like these packages do not get sent. The rest of the year part time and fulltime workers have almost 3 hours a day downtime minimum and do nothing. Mail carriers are worked to the bone though, by delivering flyers because there are so many better options out there to send your packages. Canada Post needs to keep revenue flowing to compete. Anytime a company sends a package via Canada Post it is bad sign, 9 times out of 10 it never makes it on time. Why? union workers and lack of new workers who care about the public getting the mail. Good job if you can get part or full time, but the waiting list is long. You work a lot less as a part or full timer. True story, I was running into a facility because I did not want to be late and a full-timer admonished me for being so eager. Unions are a detriment to those who want to work hard.
