Pluspunten
This is a nice job for introverted people with good computer skills, who enjoy minding their own business and are not looking to socialize much. I welcomed this environment to escape a busy retail store experience, constant customer interaction, complaints, etc. Also, everyone is pretty welcoming and helpful in a very corporate way. Meaning, while they are very nice, you must realize that they are totally dedicated to corporate rules and live by this mindless adherence to said rules and regulations, not unlike most companies. A good job for students or someone looking for something not too challenging as an extra income.
Minpunten
The software doesn’t really seem to be that great. I don’t have anything to compare it to, but have been amused/disappointed when dealing with it. This means you will be blamed for resulting mistakes in your dictation efforts, very frustrating. If you have any sort of test anxieties, don’t take this job! They test you every week, and you will be in trouble if you don’t score well. I always score badly because of test anxiety. They are constantly monitoring you in one way or another. Bathroom breaks are taken out of 15 minute break (for part timers). I work 5 hour shifts, and don’t bother to go to the bathroom, just don’t drink very much. Fellow employees can be rude, one guy was coughing a lot, which was okay, but he was also snorting like a pig in between the coughing, gross. The calls range from interesting to boring to insulting, they can be racist, sexist, super religious (a lot of those), or you can’t understand a word they’re saying. You get in trouble for all sorts of things.
