Pluspunten
easier to get hired than at other places, working from home quite a lot, I heard seniors get paid decently, but I'm not sure, some teams can be better, but it varies wildly
Minpunten
in short: bad people.
- low quality management
- dishonest people, including top management
- seniors who only work 4-5 hours per day on average, yet on paper they work 8 hours, and others only 6 hours per day and some of the management thinks this is okay...
- depressed, unhealthy, prematurely old, overweight seniors and top management with alcohol problems and huge egos (+ plenty of yes man)
- most seniors are very difficult to deal with
- support/behind the scenes guys and developers are in a "different dimension" and are absolutely not on the same level, developers badmouth the behind the scenes\administrative guys all the time leading to a very unhealthy, hostile atmosphere
-many other smaller issues that destroy your motivation but I don1t want to get sued, I already said too much
Although it depends greatly on the team you are working for because there is no unified company culture and teams vary wildly, some teams are better, others are catastrophic.
If you are a junior leave as soon as you find something better, None of the juniors ever get promoted, their workload increases, ther responsibility does, sure, but I have never heard of any junior being promoted to medior, young talent leaves all the time (they can not retain young talent, and as a result the average age at the company is probably around 40), this is for a reason, promotions are "extinction based".
It's a dead-end job for juniors, where you will never be certain whether you will have any job at all when the project ends, just try to become in-house much better for you.
