Pluspunten
There are some very, very good and smart people there and the company makes a lot of things itself. It is fairly self-sufficient.
Minpunten
Salaries are NOT competitive. Managers are stuck in 1800s American sweat-shop mode. Hourly employee policies have, thank goodness, started to move into the early 20th century. but they are still treated like cattle. Managers don't actually do any managing and spend all day putting out fires started by executives who really don't know what's going on and don't care. Cheap is the word of the week. You will be expected to furnish your own tools. They will not listen to any advice and mediocrity and delivering products are more important than doing things right. You will never make a positive contribution no matter how hard you try. Image is more important than substance. There is little freedom for expressing any positive ideas or criticism. There is this curious "if you aren't 100% aboard, you're against us" attitude. Education and experience is NOT valued. Cheap is and it shows. Go look at the place-- it's been cleaned up some, but it's still filthy and the roof leaks all over whenever it rains, hence buckets here and there. Don't ever expect a promotion or raise. You have to be family or close friend to the owners to rate that.
