Our aim is to create the kind of environment and work process that means our staff can gain experience and grow. We create scorecards for every member of our team to specifically avoid micro-managing. The goal is to set clear expectations, create autonomy and alignment so managers can provide the training and tools necessary but then get out of the way of team members.
At the end of 2018, we commissioned and completed a 3rd party salary study and confirmed that in most cases we were at, or above, the market rate for our employee hires. As in many organizations, a few individuals did receive upward salary adjustments based on results, and we also created a new incentive commission program to provide further compensation potential.
