Pluspunten

All the overtime you could ever ask for in a decentbenefits package. There is a good camaraderie amongst the foreman and technicians in the field. OK place to stick it out and get experience but move on as quickly as possible. It’s almost impossible to get let go from this company unless you’re an whistleblower, especially if your upper management. Upper management has each other‘s backs as much as possible and not in a good way depending on a person‘s perspective you can take that as a pro or a con depending on what side you’re sitting on if your job is ever in jeopardy because people know if the office gets shut down they’re all losing there jobs so to a certain extent, they stick together as much as possible through thick and thin.

Minpunten

I guess I’ll start with once they had a I guess I’ll start with once they had an employee that passed away an upper management could care less. Their exact words on a weekly business meeting call we had a we had an employee pass away, but we have a business to run so I need to find a replacement. Remember, we’re all replaceable which I feel was a very cold and callous thing to say when a man just passed away. I don’t believe his family would’ve appreciated that. I do understand it is a business and they need to find somebody to fill the position, but to say it the way it was said and in the tone and that moment was probably one of the worst and harshest things I’ve ever heard in a place of business in my entire life You would probably have to be there to understand what I mean. The only thing that management in office cares about is the bottom dollar and does not care about any of the foreman or technicians in the field. The only people that work in the field that they care about the hazmat drivers and they’ll do anything to keep them happy cause I don’t want them to quit. As for safety, it’s so so but anytime something goes wrong. Somehow upper management has been able to pull the wool over HR and safety’s eye probably because they’re not on site at any time cause they’re back at the corporate office and believe whatever they’re told from the upper management and local offices and continue to get away with breaking multiple laws and violating company policy. And they will continue to do so until they plant somebody in that office that will actually make a majority of the upper management do their job correctly. Most of the foreman and technicians do not like to report safety issues or violations, unless they absolutely have to, it is very much what happens in the office stays in the office type of business culture. As long as this office is making a profit and is not caught in the act violating any company policies or laws then they’re happy to turn to blind eye as long as it’s not affecting their bottom line at the moment.

None that I can think of

Minpunten

Terrible compensation policies. On a national scale the pay is well below average. Worked there for 15 years and received just two 6 % raises. Received a ‘retainment raise’ of 6%. This rendered me not eligible for the across the board executive 6% raises 6 months later. Had an HR approved goal for a nice bonus. Met it. HR approves 50%. The goal they approved was ‘not a big enough goal.’ Terrible work environment. Horrible really. Your productivity is based on your ‘active’ computer stroke time. No care to what you accomplish. If you fall below their ‘expected’ 90 % productivity you are on the chopping block. Yes..,, 2 very competent employees were let go for that in my tenure. Never mind that their job responsibilities included visiting job sites and monitoring compliance. Another coworker was let go due to a survey HR conducted. This employee was a compliance monitor and the survey was done with employees who were the subjects of the tallying of their compliance. I could go on for pages and pages…bottom line clean harbors cares nothing about their employees nothing about the environment and will bend any rule for profit. And if you are in a compliance role and your work to keep the company in compliance costs the company money you’re fired.
