The owners have no strategy. Do not know how to properly run a business let alone talk to their employees (lucky they still have employees). They constantly fly by the seat of their pants and literally told me they’ve been ‘winging it’ for over a decade (does that scare you? It should.).
When I was hired, there was no proper hiring process (no paperwork to sign, no handbook, nothing), just an email. When I gave them my start date, they got upset and actually had the audacity to ask me to start working BEFORE my start date (on my own computer, with my own email!). They asked me to sign up for work accounts with my own email and I had to actually tell them I am not comfortable with that. The owners would come in for two hours but micromanage from home. Not only that, they made sure you had Teams on ‘Available’ (I got called out once when my status was ‘busy’).
I was constantly told that it was unacceptable that I did not check my emails or call factories after hours or during the weekend (something I specifically said I WOULD NOT do when I interviewed).
We ended up mutually parting ways just after one month. Felt very nice to walk away from the hot dumpster fire.
Do NOT make the same mistake I made and keep scrolling if you see a job post from them.
